"No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of the garden...But though an old man, I am but a young gardener."
Thomas Jefferson, the third US president, said that a long time ago, and it's still true. Horticulture, which literally means, cultivating a garden, can be a most worthwhile pursuit. It will teach you far more about living science, than just how to make something grow.
It truly is a delight to find out that you can be a beautiful co-worker with nature and produce something lovely and useful, whether it's indoors or out. And that can help keep you younger.
So, if you are new at this, please be patient with yourselves and your plants! There are lots of easy, clear instructions for many houseplants on the blog, to get you started and keep you growing.
